Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking an experienced software architect to lead a specialized development team in Brussels. The role focuses on scalable, secure architecture and high-quality delivery, spanning backend in Python/Django and frontend in React, within an Agile environment.

You will drive technical directions, establish coding standards, and oversee deployments with Docker and CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating with English-speaking teams and, ideally, Dutch or French language exposure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software architecture and system design.
• 8+ years of backend development with Python and Django.
• 8+ years of frontend development with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• 8+ years of experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and CI/CD processes.
• 8+ years of data-driven application development with SQL and pandas.
• Experience in API development including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and coordination of a specialized development team.
• Design complex systems with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
• Build and maintain robust backend services using Python and Django.
• Develop modern frontend interfaces using React.
• Establish coding standards and perform code reviews for technical excellence.
• Translate business requirements into technical implementations in an Agile environment.
• Manage deployments and automation using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
