Job summary

Cream Consulting is looking for an experienced System Engineer to join our Brussels team. You will be responsible for the upkeep, optimization and support of our infrastructure, ensuring reliability across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will work with Linux and Windows servers, automation tools, and virtualization technologies, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. Brussels-based, on-site role with a strong emphasis on ITIL practices and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant System Engineer experience.
• Proficient with Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Familiar with virtualization and automation tools.
• Fluent in French and English; Dutch knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage incidents, changes and troubleshooting guided by ITIL practices.
• Participate in the administration, operation and improvement of the System Infrastructure within the 2nd and 3rd level support team.
• Perform the management of the cloud infrastructure and automation (Azure, Ansible).
• Monitor investigation of the performance issue and provide advice on tuning, storage and backup optimization.
• Create test systems and maintain system documentation.
• Ensure the design, the implementation to manage and improve the current schemes, the system solution and recovery plans.
• Contribute to various long-term projects to consolidate the infrastructure.
