HCLTech is seeking an experienced Senior Sophis Risque L2 Support Engineer to back a critical trading and risk platform in Brussels. You will combine functional Sophis Risque knowledge with hands-on application support and coordinate with front office, risk, operations and technology teams.

Candidates based in France may relocate to Belgium. The role requires strong incident management, automation awareness and ability to work under pressure during critical incidents.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in trading/risk application support or capital markets technology.
• 3-5+ years of Sophis Risque experience.
• Strong experience supporting complex production environments.
• ITIL knowledge or equivalent practical service management experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide L2 support for the Sophis Risque platform and related trading/risk applications.
• Act as a senior point of contact for complex functional and technical issues.
• Investigate and resolve incidents affecting trading, risk and operational processes.
• Manage Incident, Problem and Change Management activities in line with ITIL practices.
• Support application upgrades, patches and environment migrations.
• Monitor system health, performance metrics and automated alerts.
• Work closely with development teams and external vendors on bug fixes, enhancements and escalations.
• Prioritise support tickets, incidents and enhancement requests.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs and operational procedures.
• Support knowledge sharing, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with Front Office, Risk Management, Operations and IT teams to understand business priorities.
• Provide regular reporting on incidents, platform performance and planned upgrades.
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements within support operations.

HCLTech is looking for experienced Senior Sophis Risque L2 Support Engineers to support a business-critical trading and risk management platform in Brussels.

The role combines strong Sophis functional knowledge with hands‑on application support expertise and requires close collaboration with front‑office, risk, operations and technology teams.

Candidates currently based in France may also be considered if they are willing to relocate to Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for the Sophis Risque platform and related trading/risk applications.
• Act as a senior point of contact for complex functional and technical issues.
• Investigate and resolve incidents affecting trading, risk and operational processes.

Functional Expertise

• Strong understanding of Sophis Risque, including front-to-back trade lifecycle, risk, P&L, VaR and Greeks.
• Knowledge across asset classes such as:
  • Equities
  • Fixed Income
  • FX
  • Commodities
  • Derivatives
• Good understanding of trading, risk management and portfolio management processes within investment banking.

Technical Expertise

• SQL and database troubleshooting experience, preferably with Oracle and/or SQL Server.
• Scripting or automation experience using Python, Shell and/or PowerShell.
• Experience working with Unix/Linux environments and batch processing.
• Knowledge of integration protocols and APIs such as FIX, REST APIs and messaging interfaces.
• Experience with vendor support processes and software version upgrades.

Alternative Platform Experience

• Strong profiles with experience on comparable capital markets platforms may also be considered, including:
  • Murex MX.3
  • Calypso
  • Summit

Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of trading and risk functionality within banking and financial services environments.
