Job summary

VeroTech in Liège, Belgium, is seeking a Solid Rocket Motor Engineer to lead development from concept to production in defense applications. You will work across propulsion, initiation systems and energetic materials.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with system engineering, ballistics and suppliers, focusing on performance, safety and reliability through the full lifecycle and into in-service improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanics, Physics, or related field.
Minimum 5 years in solid propulsion design and pyrotechnic products.
Experience with ANSYS or MATLAB and propulsion simulations.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve solid rocket motors from concept to production, including propellant grain, igniter, casing and nozzle subcomponents
Translate operational performance, environmental and lifecycle requirements into solution architectures and product specifications
Collaborate with ballistics simulation teams to define propellant grain and overall SRM specifications
Specify supplier requirements and oversee development, production and QA activities
Conduct simulations, tests, evaluations, reviews, failure investigations and documentation such as FMECA, safety and reliability analyses
