Job summary

Alpaflow SRL seeks an enthusiastic mind to develop and integrate complex software stacks for industrial clients. You will design and ship data processing products, manufacturing systems or IoT solutions, collaborating across teams to deliver robust software.

You should have a Master's degree in engineering or computer sciences and 5+ years of experience building and shipping software projects, with strong Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Linux, Git, and cloud skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or computer sciences (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience building and shipping software projects.
• Experience with Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Linux, Git, Networking, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and willingness to learn Python.
• French and English required.
• Interest in industrial ecosystem and user-focused approach.

You will participate in the design and shipping of data processing products, manufacturing systems or IoT solutions for our industrial clients.

We promise: it won’t involve a cheap ChatGPT integration to check the “LLM powered” box in a marketing description ;)

Requirements

• You like to work in an industrial ecosystem, or you are eager to discover it.
• Master's degree in engineering or computer sciences (or equivalent experience).
• You have 5+ years of experience building and shipping software projects.
• You like your users, you like meeting them and learning from them.
• You have several years of experience using Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Linux, Git, Networking, AWS or GCP.
• You know a high-level programming language (Python, Go, Java, R…), SQL and are willing to learn Python.
• Creative spirit/hacker, you like doing things by yourself.
• French and English is required.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in:
• applied research around robotics;
• artificial intelligence;
• data engineering;
• industrial software development or integration.
• You know how to use a machine learning framework (eg. Pytorch).
• You worked with manufacturing or energy data systems. You know what a manufacturing operations management solution, a unified namespace or a warehouse management system is.
• Knowledge of Clickhouse, Django or Flask, Gitlab, streaming and batch data processing.
• Previous experience of data analysis with Jupyter/Pandas...

• You pay a visit to our office in Brussels (Ixelles) from time to time (~1 day/week). If you prefer, you can work there on the other days too.
• You'll have to move from client site to client site, in the zone located between Nivelles, Louvain-la-Neuve and Liège, sometimes several times a week.
