Jobgether is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer based in Belgium to lead security operations, design and automate security tooling, and drive detection, response, and remediation efforts across a broad technology landscape.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and contribute to open source security initiatives, while operating in a distributed, remote-first engineering organisation prioritising learning and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience across cybersecurity and/or software engineering.
• Proven security operations experience, ideally leading SOC.
• Strong software engineering background for building reliable security tools.
• Scripting in Python and Bash.
• Knowledge of Git, GitOps, IaC, and Kubernetes.

Responsabilités

• Provide operational and technical leadership across security operations initiatives.
• Design, build, deploy, and operate security software, platforms, and tooling.
• Monitor environments, identify threats, investigate incidents, and drive remediation.
• Assess security controls and improve the organisation's security posture.
• Automate security processes using software engineering and SRE practices.
• Mentor early-career Security Operations engineers.
