Pauwels Consulting is seeking an experienced security engineer to manage and evolve security solutions in Brussels. The role blends day-to-day operations with strategic security projects to ensure robust identity and access management across the organization.

You will analyze requirements, configure tools, manage IAM components, and implement advanced access controls. Fluent English and Dutch or French are required; hybrid work 2 days onsite; start ASAP; contract 3 months with possible extension.

Competenze

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering.
• 5+ years in Security and identity focusing on IAM, Active Directory, and Open LDAP.
• 5+ years of experience with OAuth and OpenID Connect authentication protocols.
• 3+ years working within SSDLC, RUP, and Agile methodologies.
• You possess practical scripting knowledge in Linux and Windows environments.
• You bring a solid understanding of application firewalls and web services security.
• You are fluent in English and either Dutch or French.

This role balances day-to-day operations with strategic security projects to ensure robust identity and access management across the organization.

• Analyze and define security requirements to support organizational projects.
• Configure, support, and maintain security tools to ensure continuous protection.
• Manage identity components, user accounts, and complex provisioning processes.
• Implement and maintain advanced access management components and infrastructure.
• Monitor security systems to improve observability and defend against unauthorized access.
• Provide expert technical advice on OAuth and OpenID Connect protocols.

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering or a similar technical capacity.
• 5+ years in Security and identity focusing on IAM, Active Directory, and Open LDAP.
• 5+ years of experience with OAuth and OpenID Connect authentication protocols.
• 3+ years working within SSDLC, RUP, and Agile methodologies.
• You possess practical scripting knowledge in Linux and Windows environments.

Nice to Haves

• Previous professional experience in network security.
• Knowledge of web services within Auth0.
