Capgemini is seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA Backend Developer to join a multidisciplinary team and deliver high-quality backend solutions. You will design robust components for cloud or on-premise deployments and translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.

You’ll apply ABAP, RAP, CDS, OData, and SAP BTP/CAP Extensions, collaborate with functional and front-end teams, and provide accurate estimates to drive dependable delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA backend development.
• Proficiency with ABAP, RAP, CDS, OData and SAP BTP/CAP Extensions.

Your Role

As a Senior SAP S/4HANA Backend Developer, you are a key contributor in a multidisciplinary team, responsible for designing and delivering high‑quality backend solutions.

• You work with the newest S/4HANA development technologies to build robust, scalable backend components (cloud or on‑premise).
• You translate functional requirements into solid technical designs and ensure smooth integration within the overall architecture.
• You guide colleagues by sharing best practices in ABAP, RAP, CDS, OData, and extensibility via SAP BTP.
• You contribute to reliable planning by providing accurate estimates for development tasks.
• You collaborate closely with functional, architecture, and front‑end colleagues to ensure high‑quality, on‑time delivery.
• You proactively help shape technical decisions and act as a trusted partner to clients when discussing backend design or development approaches.

Your Profile

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, engineering, or a related technical field.Strong hands‑on experience in S/4HANA backend development, ideally with:

• ABAP / ABAP OO
• RAP (ABAP RESTful Programming Model)
• CDS views & OData services
• SAP BTP or CAP-based extensions
• Integration between SAP and non-SAP systems

Solid understanding of modern SAP development principles (cloud-ready development, clean-core).Fluent in English and Dutch or French.
