Job summary

Modis International Ltd is seeking a Senior SAP MDG Specialist to support, enhance, and modernise SAP MDG within a S/4HANA environment. You will work closely with stakeholders and development teams to deliver end-to-end MDG solutions from analysis to post-go-live support.

The role requires strong functional and technical MDG expertise, governance experience, and the ability to operate independently across a hybrid setup in Brussels, with negotiable rate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years SAP MDG experience, preferably with Material Master Data Management.
• At least 3 end-to-end SAP MDG implementations delivered.
• Expertise in MDG governance, DRF, consolidation and mass changes.
• Experience creating functional and technical specifications.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with business-facing teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement major changes and transformation projects within SAP MDG.
• Advise business on MDG best practices and governance processes.
• Develop proposals to modernise the master data landscape.
• Translate change requests into functional specs.
• Serve as primary functional contact for ABAP developers.

Location

hybrid - 3 days remote, 2 days onsite Brussels (Anderlecht), Belgium - preference would be mostly onsite, however they are flexible.

Role Overview

The Senior SAP MDG Specialist / Developer will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and modernising the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) landscape. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and development teams to deliver SAP MDG solutions, from analysis and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement major changes and transformation projects within current and future SAP MDG solutions.
• Advise the business on SAP MDG best practices and governance processes.
• Develop conceptual solution proposals to improve and modernise the existing master data landscape.
• Analyse change requests and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Act as the primary functional contact for ABAP developers.
• Review technical specifications and perform debugging where required.
• Execute SAP MDG analysis, configuration, and implementation activities.
• Conduct functional unit testing and coordinate integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Prepare deployments and support hypercare activities after go-live.
• Provide day-to-day support, troubleshoot issues, resolve bugs, and monitor MDG workflows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and contribute to governance and RACI frameworks.

Required Experience

• Minimum 4 years of SAP MDG experience, particularly in Material Master Data Management.
• At least 3 end-to-end SAP MDG implementations.

Language Requirements

• Dutch and French (one language at C2 level and the other at minimum B2 level).
• English at minimum C1 level
