Job summary

Stibbe Brussels is seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Officer to join the Risk & Compliance team. You will report to the Head of Risk & Compliance and work with colleagues across offices to implement the firm’s compliance framework and manage complex risk assessments.

The role involves day-to-day compliance checks, client onboarding, and providing structured risk analysis. A Master’s in Law and 4+ years of relevant experience are required, with fluency in Dutch, French, and English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law with at least four years of relevant experience in a legal/compliance environment.
• Solid knowledge of AML/KYC and daily compliance processes.
• Familiarity with client onboarding tools such as Intapp.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the implementation and execution of the firm’s Risk & Compliance strategy, including the onboarding tool.
• Executing day‑to‑day compliance checks and processes (KYC/AML, conflicts, sanctions, GDPR).
• Providing structured analysis of potential risks and supporting mitigation strategies.
• Delivering reporting on compliance matters to stakeholders.
• Acting as a senior reference within the team and guiding activities.
