Perrigo is seeking a Senior R&D Lead – Skin Health to drive science-led, consumer-centric innovation across insect repellent and head lice brands. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the category agenda, lead product development initiatives, and ensure compliant, commercially successful solutions that improve lives.

Description Overview

As Senior R&D Lead – Skin Health, with a focus on our insect repellent and head lice brands, you will play a key role in advancing science-led, consumer-centric innovation across one of Perrigo’s strategically important self-care categories. Reporting to the R&D Category Manager, you will help shape and execute the category innovation agenda, lead product development initiatives, and contribute scientific expertise to support portfolio growth and competitive differentiation. Working across brands, technologies, and geographies, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, consumer-relevant, and commercially successful solutions that improve lives and strengthen Perrigo’s position.

Scope of the Role

• Innovation Pipeline Leadership:
• Support the development and execution of the category innovation pipeline, grounded in consumer insight, scientific expertise, and commercial impact.
• Drive end-to-end innovation from opportunity identification through launch, leveraging digital tools, AI/ML, and external partnerships.
• Contribute to building a scalable, future-ready pipeline that accelerates speed to market while ensuring scientific rigor and compliance.
• Scientific Strategy & Category Growth:
• Provide scientific expertise across product development, regulatory, clinical, and consumer domains.
• Support evidence generation, claims strategies, and scientific narratives that drive compliance, differentiation, and brand growth.
• Monitor emerging science, global standards, competitive activity, market insights, and real-world evidence to inform innovation, identify growth opportunities, and mitigate risks.
• Cross-Functional Integration & Execution:
• Collaborate across Regulatory, Clinical, Medical, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to deliver impactful innovations and support lifecycle management activities.
• Embed scientific and technical excellence throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to post-launch optimization.
• Foster agile, digital-first ways of working and cultivate strategic external partnerships to accelerate development and reduce risk.
• Ensure innovation is rooted in unmet consumer needs, behavioral insights, and real-world usage.
• Contribute to platform-based innovation initiatives that support branded and store-brand portfolios and enable rapid market customization.

Experience Required

• R&D and Innovation Leader with 3-6 years of experience in consumer health, pharmaceuticals, and FMCG.
• Proven track record of delivering science-led, consumer-centric innovations from concept to commercialization.
• Expertise in managing end-to-end innovation pipelines, including product development, regulatory frameworks, and evidence-based decision-making.
• Strong cross-functional leader, partnering across Regulatory, Medical, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
• Experienced in driving category growth through consumer insights, market trends, and data-driven innovation.
• Global mindset with experience working across diverse markets, stakeholders, and regulatory environments
