Job summary

HumanInTech is seeking a data/ETL specialist to join a Belgian public-sector development team. You will develop Python-based analysis tools for environmental data, work with Geoserver and Geonetwork, and contribute to data science projects within an agile setup.

Main tasks include building ETL/ELT data flows, using Jupyter Notebook for exploration, and managing metadata and catalogs. Dutch language proficiency is required, with 50% remote work possible in Ghent region.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience with Python and associated analysis tooling.
• Proven ability to independently execute data science projects and apply analysis techniques.
• Experience with Jupyter Notebook.
• Experience with Geoserver.
• Experience with Geonetwork, metadata management and object catalogues.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience (medior level).
• Fluent in Dutch (CEFR level C2).

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining Python-based data analysis solutions.
• Working with geospatial technologies including Geoserver and Geonetwork.
• Contributing to data science projects and applying analysis techniques.
• Building and maintaining ETL and ELT data flows.
• Working with Jupyter Notebook for data exploration and analysis.
• Managing metadata and object catalogues.
• Participating in agile processes with monthly sprint reviews, bi-weekly planning, and daily stand-ups.
