Xintas in Belgium is seeking a Senior Python Developer to architect, develop, and maintain resilient software that supports core business functions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performing applications and raise the bar on technical standards.

You will join the Chapter Development community and contribute to the internal monitoring platform, implementing Python-based monitoring and alerting engines, synthetic and log checks, and reliable operations across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT/tech.
• At least 6 years of software development experience.
• At least 3 years of Python experience.
• Strong understanding of IT security requirements, esp. for critical infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python for backend services, preferably FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency with data validation library (Pydantic).
• Experience with AsyncIO.
• Experience with SQL and databases like MSSQL, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with RabbitMQ.
• Strong understanding of service-based architectures and event-driven systems.
• Solid knowledge of software design patterns, scalability, and CI practices.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium).
• Multilingual: English plus Dutch or French; German a plus.

• Collaborate actively to develop and optimize Python-based software applications.
• Gather requirements and define software specifications with stakeholders.
• Engage with customers to address service requests and ensure resolution.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment (CI/CD).
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Work with DevOps and data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
• Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of solutions.
