Pauwels Consulting in Leuven seeks a software and AI specialist to develop advanced software solutions and AI agents aimed at optimizing MES and R&D workflows. You will contribute to the evolution of the MES platform and build tools that simplify process flow, execution, and collaboration.

The role requires 5+ years developing production-quality software, deep Python expertise, and hands-on AI experience. Hybrid work, start 01/10/2026 for 2 years, open to permanent staff or freelancers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS/SE/AI/Data Science required.
• 5+ years of production software development experience.
• Strong Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with LLMs, AI Agents, RAG and ML.
• Knowledge of databases, APIs, cloud tech and data engineering.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilités

• Develop software and AI solutions to improve R&D and manufacturing efficiency.
• Contribute to MES platform evolution and its software ecosystem.
• Create tools for process flow definition, execution and collaboration.
• Build applications/services on an enterprise data platform.
• Design and implement AI agents, copilots, and automation for engineering teams.
