Job summary

Bimona is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to join the traffic data team of a Brussels-based public transport organisation. The assignment is time & material, full-time, with start preferably 3 January 2027 and end 31 December 2031, totaling about 9,000 hours.

French or Dutch at C2 and English at C1 are required. You will collect and document stakeholder needs, translate them into functional specifications, and work with the development team to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in business and functional analysis on Agile/Scrum IT projects.
10+ years in gathering business requirements.
Creating user stories based on analysis and specifications.
Design and modelling techniques, UML and BPMN.
Documenting functional requirements.
Defining test cases and test scenarios.
APIs and web services, REST and SOAP.
IBM MQ.
Elastic & Kibana.
SQL and PL/SQL.
XML/XSD, including designing XSD contracts.
.NET (2+ years).
French or Dutch at C2 level, the other language at B1, English at C1.

Responsibilities

Collect and document the needs and requirements of internal and external stakeholders
Translate those needs into functional and technical specifications for the applications
Analyse existing processes and propose improvements in efficiency and accuracy
Write detailed functional specifications and requirements
Work closely with the development team so the technical solutions match the business requirements
Write test cases and test scenarios, and run tests to check that the application behaves as agreed
Carry out impact analyses based on the business requirements
Work with the IT team, transport operators and other business units
