Job summary

NN Group in Brussels is recruiting an Expert Underwriter Property to lead development and underwriting for our small business and self-employed client segment. You will own risk assessments, shape product improvements and partner with Sales, Claims and Policy Management to drive growth.

The role requires strong analytical skills, a client‑ and results‑oriented mindset, and fluency in Dutch with good French and English.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Property insurance for business clients.
• At least 2 years of underwriting experience in Property.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• Technical background (e.g., construction) is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve Property products for small businesses and self-employed clients.
• Bridge between Product Management and operations to translate insights into product improvements.
• Analyze, assess and accept risks within Property to ensure sound underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure consistent underwriting approach.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients as a trusted partner.
• Stay updated with market developments and continuously grow expertise.
• Coach colleagues and share knowledge with Sales, Claims and Policy Management teams.
