Senior Project Manager transverse Platform engineering - Smals

Dates: 2026-10-23 — 2027-03-31

Arrangements: Full time; hybrid: minimum two days per week in the office and up to three days teleworking. Initial contract until 31/12/2026; possible extensions in three-month periods according to needs.

Platform Engineering supplies shared platforms, products and services to development teams. Its purpose is to accelerate application delivery while maintaining security, standardisation and operational efficiency. The environment covers Community Cloud and Public Cloud, CI/CD, databases, middleware, observability and developer services. The service portfolio and number of strategic initiatives are growing.

The senior project manager leads complex projects and strategic programmes across several Platform Engineering teams. The assignment brings together technical teams, service owners, architects and management. It covers dependencies, schedules, risks, actions, decisions and management reporting. The manager also contributes to roadmaps, internal communication and alignment with division priorities.

Priority initiatives cover platform security, Public Cloud adoption, CI/CD, Business Unit autonomy and the platform service portfolio. The profile combines complex project leadership with general cloud, platform, DevOps and infrastructure understanding. Jira and Confluence proficiency, ITIL and PRINCE2 knowledge, and the separately listed skill levels are requested. The assignment is full time and hybrid in Brussels, with at least two office days each week.
