Job summary

Pauwels Consulting in Leuven, Belgium, is seeking an experienced Programme/Project Lead to drive complex lifecycles across cloud, HPC, and infrastructure domains. You will bridge research needs and technical execution, coordinating stakeholders, architects, and security teams.

The role requires 8+ years in cloud/infrastructure projects, a Master’s in CS/Engineering/IT, fluent English and Dutch, and a hybrid, full-time arrangement starting 2026-11-01 for 1 year with potential extension.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage integrated project plans including scope, deliverables, budget, and resource allocation.

• Act as the primary coordinator for research stakeholders, architects, security teams, and external partners.
• Manage infrastructure modernization, system integrations, and large-scale migration initiatives.
• Establish agreements regarding service ownership, support responsibilities, and operational models.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks while ensuring adherence to quality and acceptance criteria.

• You possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
• You're able to translate between research needs and technical, security, and operational requirements.
• You bring advanced skills in project planning, organization, and outcome-oriented risk management.
• You possess the technical understanding of secure environments necessary to challenge plans and coordinate specialists.
• You are fluent in English with a good level of Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• 8+ years of experience with Cloud adoption, platform modernization, or compute-intensive environments.
• Previous experience working in highly secure infrastructure environments.
