Job summary

Randstad Digital Belgium is seeking an experienced Project Manager with deep expertise in managing high-performance compute environments and cloud transformations. The role requires ownership of complex infrastructure, cloud, and HPC projects, bridging business, research, and technical teams.

You will coordinate stakeholders across ICT, security, procurement, and vendors, ensuring precise service ownership and robust risk mitigation. Strong English and good Dutch are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing cloud, infrastructure, platform, data center, or HPC projects.
• Hands-on experience with cloud adoption and platform modernization.
• Fluent English and good Dutch language skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the integrated project plan including scope, deliverables, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, quality, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead projects involving cloud services, HPC platforms, secure compute environments, infrastructure modernization, system integrations, and data migrations.
• Act as the central coordination point for business and research stakeholders, ICT teams, architects, security teams, procurement, operational teams, and external vendor partners.
• Coordinate clear agreements on service ownership, support responsibilities, acceptance criteria, and operational models.
• Monitor project milestones, proactively identify delivery risks, and implement robust mitigation strategies.
• Challenge technical plans and translate complex business and research needs into actionable technical and security realities.

Your Profile:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proven experience managing complex cloud, infrastructure, platform, data center, or HPC-related projects (mandatory: 8+ years).
• Hands-on experience with cloud adoption, platform modernization, compute-intensive, or highly secure environments (8+ years preferred).
• Strong planning, organizational, coordination, and risk-management skills with a structured, pragmatic approach.
• Broad technical understanding of cloud systems, HPC, and secure computing environments to effectively lead and challenge engineering specialists.
• Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory, fluent) and a good level of Dutch.
