Job summary

Fanfinity Agency, based in Ghent and London, seeks a Senior Project Manager to drive complex gaming events from concept to delivery. You will coach project managers, translate big projects into actionable budgets, and ensure profitability while delivering exceptional client experiences.

You will maintain an overview across all project areas, coordinating with clients and internal teams to uphold quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in gaming and events with large-scale events.
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management or Business; equivalent via experience.
• Excellent English; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from A to Z with focus on planning, deadlines and client expectations.
• Develop and monitor project plans, budgets and reports.
• Coordinate with clients and internal experts and teams.
• Coordinate and lead internal team members, freelancers and external partners.
• Act as main point of contact for clients and ensure stakeholders are informed of updates and changes.
• Take overall responsibility during event execution.
• Conduct project debriefs and identify areas for improvement and new opportunities with the team.
• Act as a strategic sparring partner for the development of projects and events.

Since 2014, Fanfinity has been bringing fans and brands together within the gaming industry. With a team of more than 25 gaming and esports specialists, we create fan experiences and events for communities, brands, conventions, tournament organizers, and game publishers.

Operating from Ghent and London, we are active throughout Europe and beyond. We have organized more than 200 events across 14+ countries and welcomed over 250,000 fans. In addition, we offer expertise in logistics, e-commerce, consultancy, retail marketing, and corporate events.

YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Project Manager you are responsible for the successful delivery of complex high scale projects within Fanfinity. You support, guide and coach Project Managers in handing over profitable solutions from the high scale projects and translate these to smaller-scale events and budgets, aligned with client expectations.

By maintaining a clear helicopter view across all areas of a project, you ensure quality, aligned processes and an exceptional client experience. You also contribute to Fanfinity's profitability and operational excellence.

YOUR TASKS

• Manage projects from A to Z with a strong focus on planning, deadlines, quality and client expectations.
• Develop and monitor project plans, budgets and reports.
• Collaborate closely with clients, the Commercial Director, the Project Manager Lead, and internal expert teams.
• Coordinate and lead internal team members, freelancers and external partners.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients and ensure all stakeholders are informed of project updates and changes.
• Take overall responsibility during event execution.
• Conduct project debriefs and identify areas for improvement and new opportunities together with the team.
• Act as a strategic sparring partner, contributing to the further development of projects and events.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business Management or equivalent through experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the gaming and events industry, involving large-scale events.
• A strong affinity with the Pokémon brand or a solid understanding of the Trading Card Game community, competitive scene and fan culture are required.
• Excellent command of English, additional languages are a plus.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and strong planning skills.
• Proactive, flexible, resilient under pressure and solution-oriented.
• Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
• Decisive, responsible and results-driven with a keen eye for detail and quality.
