SC Johnson is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – fixed term for 2 years at our Malle site, Belgium. You will lead or support projects spanning new product introductions, equipment upgrades, and process improvements, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality results.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, has manufacturing experience, and is fluent in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing, process, filling, or packaging environment.
• Professional working proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Experience with automation systems.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
• Foundation in project management methodologies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities related to New Product Development projects.
• Lead equipment and process improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
• Coordinate line trials, equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities.
• Maintain visibility of multiple concurrent projects and ensure successful execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external suppliers and contractors.
• Facilitate third‑party interventions, work permits, site access, and project follow‑up activities.

About the Role

In this role you will lead or support a variety of initiatives, including new product introductions, modifications to existing products, equipment upgrades, process improvements, line trials, and machinery qualification activities. You will act as a key coordinator between suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys managing multiple priorities, driving continuous improvement, and delivering tangible business results.
