Job summary

ClientEarth is seeking an experienced Senior Programme Officer to contribute to protecting forests and strengthening Indigenous Peoples’ and Local Communities’ (IPLC) rights in land and forest governance. The postholder will coordinate programmes, engage partners, and support MEL to deliver a diverse portfolio of projects across West Africa, with Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana focus.

This role is based in Brussels with flexible working options under our policy.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (CEFR C2) and French (CEFR C2).
• Proven experience supporting delivery of complex programmes in the not-for-profit sector.
• Strong understanding of West Africa contexts and stakeholder partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Partnership Engagement and Collaboration: Maintain effective relationships with partners and promote decolonial, locally led practices.
• Programme and Project Coordination: Plan and coordinate delivery across the portfolio with budgets, timelines and donor requirements.
• Financial Management and Compliance: Support budgeting, monitoring, forecasting and reporting across the portfolio.
