Job summary

act digital is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer & Analyst to join its Data Management team in Belgium. You will design, develop, and optimize reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making, collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams to modernize BI infrastructure.

Required: 7+ years with Power BI and Fabric, SAP BW/BW4, Azure cloud services, and strong RLS/data governance experience. Fluent in Dutch/French/English, with agile project experience.

• 7+ years as a Power BI Developer/Analyst or similar BI role.
• 7+ years hands-on with Microsoft Power BI.
• 5+ years with Microsoft Analysis Services (AAS).

• 3+ years with Azure Data & Cloud Services.
• Strong SAP BW/BW4 reporting experience.
• Experience implementing RLS and data governance.

Responsibilities

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design, develop, optimize, and maintain reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business reporting requirements.
• Review existing reporting solutions and define future-state reporting architectures.
• Contribute to migration initiatives from legacy BI environments to modern Microsoft Fabric architectures.
• Design, develop, and implement Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Develop reporting solutions leveraging SAP BW/BW4 and Azure-based data platforms.
• Implement and maintain Row Level Security (RLS) and data governance best practices.
• Build multilingual, data-driven reporting environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytical and visualization requirements.
• Transform and model raw data into meaningful business insights.
• Provide recommendations regarding optimization, monitoring, and maintenance of reporting platforms.
• Validate deliverables developed by internal and external teams.
• Contribute to testing activities, data quality initiatives, and data cleansing efforts.
• Support roadmap planning, enhancements, bug resolution, and stakeholder communication.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Power BI Developer/Analyst or in a similar BI role.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Analysis Services (AAS).
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Azure Data & Cloud Services.
• Strong experience with SAP BW/BW4 reporting environments.
• Proven experience implementing Row Level Security (RLS) and data governance practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Professional communication skills in Dutch, French, and English

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with RayFin and Copilot within Microsoft Fabric ecosystems.
• Experience with business analysis methodologies including requirements engineering, process analysis, use case modeling, and problem analysis.
• Experience defining and executing BI migration plans.
• Experience working within a BI Center of Excellence (CoE).
• Experience as a trainer, coach, or facilitator within BI communities.
• Experience delivering end-to-end BI/Fabric solutions including stakeholder management and project coordination.
• Experience developing and delivering Power BI and Microsoft Fabric training sessions.
