Job summary

ABN AMRO Belgium zoekt een Senior Portfolio Manager om discretionary portefeuilles te beheren binnen ons Investment Center. U vertaalt klantprofielen naar evenwichtige portefeuilles en bewaakt rendement en risico volgens benchmarks.

U fungeert als advies-expert voor klanten, legt strategie uit en ondersteunt Private Bankers bij mandatswerving. U werkt nauw samen met het team en vertegenwoordigt onze investeringskennis bij events en relaties.

Qualifications

• Minimaal 10 jaar relevante ervaring in de financiële sector.
• Master’s degree in Economics of Economic Sciences.
• Ideaal CFA-kwalificatie.
• Passie voor financiële markten en kennis van investeringsoplossingen.
• Gedegen ervaring met samenstelling, monitoring en bijsturing van discretionary mandates.
• Commerciële mindset en klantgericht.
• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en in staat complexe onderwerpen uit te leggen.
• Goede beheersing van MS Office en banking applicaties.
• Vloeiend Frans met goede kennis van Nederlands en Engels.

Responsibilities

• Portfoliobeheer: actief beheren van discretionary klantportefeuilles volgens beoogde profielen en benchmarks.
• Klantcontact: voorbereiden en leiden van portefeuilleoverleggen en uitleg van strategie.
• Investeringsexpertise: volgen van macro-economische ontwikkelingen en markten en vertalen naar portefeuilledesign.
• Commerciële ondersteuning: ondersteunen van Private Bankers bij het verwerven van mandaten.
• Risico & Governance: waarborgen van passende documentatie en naleving interne procedures en risicobewustzijn.
• Business development: actief bijdragen aan groei van discretionary portefeuilleactiviteiten.
• Samenwerking: samenwerken binnen Investment Center en Private Bankers voor hoogwaardige service.

As a Senior Portfolio Manager within our Investment Center, you play a key role in managing the discretionary investment portfolios of our Private Banking clients.

You translate each client’s investment profile into a well-balanced portfolio based on a common strategy, implementing the appropriate asset allocation and continuously monitoring performance and risk. Your objective is to achieve an optimal risk-adjusted return, in line with the client’s agreed investment profile and relevant benchmark.

But your role goes beyond portfolio management. You are a trusted investment expert for our clients. You discuss their portfolios with them, explain our investment strategy and help them understand the choices made within their discretionary mandate.

You work closely with our Private Bankers to ensure long-term client satisfaction and support them in attracting new discretionary portfolio management mandates. You also participate in client and prospect events, representing our investment expertise and strengthening our relationships with clients.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

• Portfolio Management: You implement and actively manage discretionary client portfolios in accordance with the contractually agreed investment profile, asset allocation and relevant benchmark.
• Client Contact: You thoroughly prepare and lead portfolio meetings with clients, presenting our investment strategy, discussing portfolio performance and explaining how their discretionary mandate is managed.
• Investment Expertise: You closely follow macroeconomic developments, financial markets and the bank’s investment strategy and translate these insights into portfolio decisions and client conversations.
• Commercial Support: You provide technical and commercial investment expertise to our Private Bankers, supporting them in acquiring new discretionary portfolio management mandates.
• Risk & Governance: You ensure that client mandates are properly documented and managed in accordance with internal procedures, ethical standards and any specific restrictions agreed with the client.
• Business Development: You actively contribute to the continued growth of our discretionary portfolio management activity.
• Collaboration: You contribute to a strong team spirit and work closely with the other teammembers in the Investment Center and Private Bankers to provide our clients with a high-quality and integrated service, at the same time you are able to work in an autonomous way.

Jij

• have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the financial sector
• hold a Master’s degree in Economics or Economic Sciences
• ideally have an additional professional qualification such as CFA
• have a passion for financial markets and strong knowledge of investment solutions
• have solid expertise in the construction, monitoring and adjustment of discretionary investment mandates
• have a commercial mindset
  and a genuine enthousiasm for working with clients
• are customer and service oriented
  while maintaining a strong awareness of risk
• have strong communication skills
  and can make complex investment topics understandable to clients
• work in a structured and well-organised way
• can work independently and take initiative
  while being a true team player
• have a good command of MS Office and relevant banking applications
• are familiar with financial tools such as Bloomberg and FactSet
• are fluent in French and have a good command of Dutch and English.
