Alan is seeking a senior/staff-level backend or platform engineer to own and run our Data Foundations platform, focusing on safety, observability, and scalable data governance for a growing user base across Europe.

You will work with Python/Flask/React and PostgreSQL, shipping the Data Privacy Orchestrator in production and extending data-store coverage as Alan expands into new countries.

Qualifications

• Senior/staff-level backend or platform engineering, at level E or above, with production ownership.
• Experience building and operating platforms, libraries, or services used by other engineers.
• Ability to coordinate across legal, security, data, and product teams.

Responsabilités

• Own and run the platform: core engine, safety mechanisms, and operations.
• Build the paved road: docs, templates, and self-serve tooling for data rules.
• Bridge across areas: align requirements and manage deletion-ordering trade-offs.
• Grow the surface: extend coverage to new data stores and third-party systems.
