Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is assisting a client in Brussels to recruit a Senior Network Engineer for an international network infrastructure. The role focuses on reliability, security, and performance across both office networks and industrial systems.

The candidate should have extensive Solarwinds experience, Fortinet SD-WAN, Zscaler zia/zpa, Cisco ISE, and cloud networking proficiency, with willingness to travel internationally. Hybrid work in Brussels is available.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience with Solarwinds for network performance monitoring.
5+ years in industrial or power plant environments with VCA certification.
5+ years of Fortinet solutions (firewalling, SD-WAN).
Expertise with Cisco ISE and enterprise-grade WiFi environments.
Strong routing/switching experience using BGP, OSPF, VRF.
Hands-on Zscaler tech experience (ZIA/ZPA) and certs.
Cloud networking experience (Azure or AWS).
Knowledge of DCS networks and industrial vendors (Siemens, ABB, GE).
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally.
Fluent in French, Dutch, and English.

Responsibilities

Monitor and optimize network performance across enterprise and industrial environments.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex network issues to maximize uptime.
Manage physical infrastructure, cabling, and UTP identification.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and stakeholders in industrial settings.
Maintain security standards for technical and DCS networks.
Support high-availability enterprise routing, switching, and WiFi environments.
