Atlas Copco Group seeks a Senior .NET Developer to help build the IoT backend powering SMARTLINK. You will design domain services, own API contracts, craft events and data models, and ensure observability and testability in a cloud-native stack.

The role emphasizes domain-driven design, PostgreSQL/JSONB, Kafka, and Kubernetes within a hybrid work setup in Belgium. You join a growing platform team to shape the backbone that handles hundreds of thousands of devices and large-scale telemetry while

Qualifications

• Hands-on C# and .NET back-end development, owning a service end to end with API design and versioning.
• Working grasp of domain-driven design: bounded contexts and aggregates in a real domain.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL and JSONB for flexible data models; able to craft SQL.
• Apache Kafka as architecture, with producers/consumers, partitions and idempotency.
• Container-based, cloud-agnostic development using Kubernetes and related pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting and agile mindset; familiarity with AI tooling in work processes.

Responsabilités

• Design and build domain services in cloud-native .NET that own their data.
• Own API contracts with deliberate versioning and breaking changes decisions.
• Design events with Avro schemas and clear replay semantics.
• Model data in relational and JSONB structures to fit queries over time.
• Engineer for fleet scale with robust indexing and observability.
• Make services observable via OpenTelemetry and robust health checks.
• Test code with unit and integration tests alongside engineers using containerised deps.
• Refine requirements into workable domain models and set standards with reviews.
• Leverage AI tooling to raise the bar and improve daily workflows.
