Job summary

BNP Paribas Fortis is seeking an experienced risk assurance professional to assess and enhance risk measurement processes and IT systems supporting credit, market, and counterparty risk across the BNP Paribas Group. The role sits in the FPS team based in Brussels, with a permanent contract and a mix of in-person and remote work.

You will lead independent reviews, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver concise, actionable reports to risk leadership, influencing improvements and strengthening

Qualifications

• 5+ years in audit, internal control, or risk management.
• Fluent English; French/Dutch proficiency is a plus.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Clear, neutral communication in reports and discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent, end-to-end reviews of risk frameworks and controls.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and robust risk measurement in a model-driven environment.
• Deliver clear, high-impact reports to RISK leadership and drive improvements.
• Monitor implementation of recommendations to close root causes.
• Present assessment results to European supervisors on behalf of BNP Paribas Group.
• Engage with Senior Management on high-visibility topics across risk areas.
• Benefit from cross-functional exposure and AI-driven risk tools.
