Job summary

EngiFlex BV seeks a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to roll out Microsoft Fabric, establish foundations, and mentor the team through best practices and knowledge transfer. In the initial phase you will implement the platform, set up pipelines, and demonstrate effective ways of working.

You will design Medallion Architectures, build scalable Python pipelines, and shape our data lake and BI integration. The role blends hands-on delivery with coaching, stakeholder collaboration, and long-term

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Microsoft Fabric in production environments.
• Strong expertise in data architecture, data lakes, ETL/ELT and data transfer processes.
• Experience designing Medallion Architectures and Fabric-based data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, notebooks, and modern data engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with Power BI and Microsoft BI practices, and DevOps tooling.
• Clear communication; ability to translate complex topics into training.
• Experience coaching and growing a data team; initiative and leadership.
• Hands-on problem solver with collaborative mindset; not only architect.
• Ability to communicate in Dutch or French, and English.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Fabric, from initial setup to production-ready solutions.
• Design and implement Medallion Architectures within Fabric, aligned with data architecture best practices.
• Build scalable data pipelines and data transfer flows using Python notebooks and Fabric capabilities.
• Help shape a robust data lake approach and the broader data services architecture.
• Integrate Power BI and Microsoft BI practices into the data development lifecycle.
• Contribute to data visualization enablement with well-structured, reusable data for reporting.
• Provide hands-on coaching, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions for the team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth handover and long-term ownership.
