Job summary

Sanofi is seeking a Medical Engagement Lead (MEL) for Autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes in Belgium. The MEL will shape the medical engagement strategy, lead external scientific relationships, and ensure ethical, evidence-based medical activities across the product lifecycle.

The role requires an advanced scientific degree and 5–8 years in Medical Affairs or related functions, with strong regulatory and compliance understanding and cross-functional leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent).
• Experience in Medical Affairs, clinical development, or related roles in pharma/biotech (5–8 years).
• Strong capability in scientific engagement and medical strategy development.

Responsibilities

• Lead Medical Affairs strategy for Autoimmune T1D, aligned with global/regional priorities.
• Build and maintain relationships with KEEs and medical societies; act as primary medical spokesperson.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Market Access and Public Affairs for integrated planning.
