Cochlear Technology Centre Belgium is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of active hearing implant technologies and surgical tools. You will drive electro‑mechanical development from concept to first‑in‑human studies in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.

You will collaborate with surgeons, clinical experts and external suppliers to deliver safe, reliable devices while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• 10+ years' experience in product design and development with 3D CAD.
• 5+ years' hands-on experience in prototyping, testing, verification, and validation.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and development of complex electro‑mechanical components for active hearing implant systems.
• Collaborate with surgeons and clinical experts to optimize usability and performance.
• Coordinate prototyping and supplier activities to support rapid product development.
• Develop verification and validation strategies to ensure device safety and performance.
