Job summary

Phoenix Technologies is seeking a Linux System Engineer to deliver advanced operational support for Linux-based IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and compliance. You will handle incidents, automate tasks with Ansible, and contribute to R&D initiatives.

Role requires 4+ years of Linux experience, strong scripting (Bash/Python), and professional English with Dutch or French as a plus; ITIL familiarity is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience managing large-scale Linux infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Automation Platform, and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting for automation and reporting.
• English proficiency and Dutch or French language skills at a professional level.
• Experience within ITIL-aligned processes (incident, problem, change management).

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 operational support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, handling incidents and service requests.
• Perform system performance tuning, diagnostics, and OS-level troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible Automation Platform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Integrate automation with monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and ITSM processes (incident, problem, change management).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate new technologies and prototype solutions.
