Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, R&D Legal EMEA, to provide regional legal guidance for clinical development activities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The role focuses on risk-based guidance, contract drafting, and cross-functional collaboration within a hybrid setup in Diegem or Beerse, Belgium.

Requires 7+ years of legal experience with 5+ in R&D/clinical development and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Master of Laws with excellent academic results.
• Minimum 7 years of legal experience, at least 5 in R&D/clinical development.
• Experience in multinational corporations; healthcare industry preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal guidance to R&D partners on clinical development activities.
• Draft, review and oversee clinical research agreements and related documentation.
• Support negotiation strategies and resolution of complex, cross-regional matters.
• Collaborate with regulatory, IP, and compliance teams to ensure aligned legal support.
