John Cockerill Energy in Belgium is seeking a Senior Lead Buyer responsible for the procurement of valves and related equipment across international projects. You will lead sourcing, RFQs, negotiations and supplier selection, collaborating closely with Engineering, Project Management and Quality teams.

You will manage a technically demanding portfolio with autonomy, travel occasionally for supplier visits and audits, and contribute to risk management and continuous improvement within the

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, Purchasing or equivalent.
• 7–10 years in procurement/purchasing, preferably in project-oriented industrial environment.
• Strong technical affinity with complex equipment and specifications.
• Experience with valves is a plus, especially HRSG applications.
• Solid experience in technical purchasing (RFQs, negotiations, contracts, risk mgmt).
• Fluent English; international openness; ability to travel occasionally.

Responsabilités

• Lead procurement for your portfolio from RFQ to PO closure.
• Develop sourcing strategies to improve quality, delivery and competitiveness.
• Coordinate negotiations and technical approvals with Engineering.
• Manage supplier panel and conduct supplier visits/audits.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and governance principles.
