Qualifications

• Master's degree in Belgian Law; LL.M. in Real Estate, Construction Law or related field is a strong asset.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a lawyer with construction law expertise.
• Extensive litigation and dispute-resolution experience in construction law.
• Ability to handle sophisticated client matters autonomously.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in developing a practice and client relationships.
• Desire and ability to lead, mentor and develop a team; people management is an asset.
• French native (or equivalent) with excellent English and good Dutch.
• Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
• Credibility, leadership and ability to act as trusted advisor to senior decision-makers.

Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Senior Lawyer (Counsel / Partner level) (m/f/x) specialized in Construction Law for a permanent position based in Brussels.

To support the continued growth of its Brussels office, the firm is seeking a Senior Lawyer (Counsel / Partner level) specialized in Construction Law to help them further develop their presence in the French-speaking market.

Your role :

You will play a key role in the strategic development of the Construction practice in Brussels.

You will combine high-level legal expertise with business development and leadership responsibilities, becoming a trusted advisor to key players in the construction and infrastructure sectors.

As Senior Lawyer (Counsel / Partner level) (m/f/x) you will be responsible for:

• Advising clients on complex and high-stakes dispute resolution and litigation cases relating to construction projects and public procurement contracts.
• Advising contractors, developers, public authorities, engineering firms and investors on contractual, regulatory and risk management issues.
• Developing and expanding the firm's Construction practice within the French-speaking Belgian market.
• Managing and growing client relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Contributing to the firm's visibility through publications, conferences, seminars and industry events.
• Mentoring, coaching and supervising lawyers.
• Taking an active role in the leadership and strategic development of the practice.

The required profile for the Senior Lawyer (Counsel / Partner level) (m/f/x) position:

• Master's degree in Belgian Law ; a postgraduate degree or LL.M. specialising in Real Estate, Construction Law or a related field is considered a strong asset.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a lawyer, with a recognised expertise in construction law.
• Extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution relating to construction law and litigation.
• Proven ability to handle sophisticated and strategic client matters autonomously.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in developing a practice and expanding client relationships.
• Desire and ability to lead, mentor and develop a team.
• Previous people management experience is considered a significant asset.
• French Native (or equivalent) + Excellent command of English + Good professional command of Dutch.
• Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
• Credibility, leadership and the ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior decision-makers.
