Job summary

Jobgether, in partnership with a Belgian company, seeks a Senior iOS Developer (Swift) to build accessible native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.

You will implement VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and WCAG-aligned accessibility features, collaborating with international teams to maintain high code quality and performance. This fully remote role offers competitive compensation and long-term collaboration, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in native iOS development.
• Strong expertise in Swift and native iOS principles.
• Experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit for app development.
• Hands-on accessibility implementation in iOS apps.
• Strong knowledge of VoiceOver testing and navigation.
• Experience with iOS Accessibility APIs and SwiftUI accessibility features.
• Ability to implement Dynamic Type and scalable font sizes.
• Experience configuring accessibility labels, traits, values, and actions.
• Troubleshooting accessibility focus management in iOS interfaces.
• Ability to conduct accessibility testing and identify usability barriers.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 guidelines.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Native iOS development, maintaining and enhancing applications.
• Build and optimize UIs with SwiftUI and UIKit for a high-quality user experience.
• Ensure performance, stability, and reliability of the app.
• Design and refine accessibility features across iOS apps.
• Align with VoiceOver by optimizing navigation and screen-reader behavior.
• Apply iOS Accessibility APIs and SwiftUI accessibility features.
• Implement Dynamic Type and scalable interfaces for readability.
• Configure accessibility labels, traits, values, and actions.
• Manage accessibility focus for intuitive navigation.
• Conduct hands-on accessibility testing and resolve defects.
• Validate accessibility against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 standards.
• Collaborate with distributed international teams to deliver accessible solutions.
