Melexis is seeking an Applications/Hardware Engineer to bridge IC design, product marketing, and customer support. The role centers on the design-in of inductive position sensor ICs into automotive and industrial applications, from coil design to evaluation boards and documentation.

Collaborate with systems engineers and marketing to ensure products meet market needs, train FAEs, and develop reference designs and test setups for customer interfaces with sensor ICs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechatronics or a closely related field.
• 2–3+ years of experience as an Applications Engineer, Hardware Engineer, or System Engineer.

Responsabilités

• Design-in: ensure successful design-in of inductive position sensor ICs into customer applications.
• Prototyping & coil design: create and optimize sensor coil geometries and develop hardware reference designs.
• Validation & lab work: bench characterization and debugging in lab settings.
• Technical collateral generation: produce datasheets, app notes, user guides, and tutorials.
• Cross-functional collaboration: work with Systems Engineers and marketing; train FAEs and distributors.
