Job summary

NXP Semiconductors NV is seeking a Senior IC Verification Engineer to help shape advanced low-power SoCs for hearing, hearables and healthcare IoT. Base in Leuven, Belgium, you will lead verification activities for complex digital ICs, implement modern verification methods, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust designs.

You will contribute to defining verification plans, drive coverage, and mentor colleagues while leveraging AI-assisted workflows to improve productivity

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a relevant engineering field.
• Typically 5+ years of digital IC verification experience.
• Strong knowledge of SoC architectures (CPUs, DSPs, security, power management).
• Proven SystemVerilog and UVM verification experience.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Translate specifications into verification plans and coverage strategies.
• Drive verification closure with coverage analysis.
• Execute RTL, gate-level, timing-annotated and power-aware verification.
• Analyze results and debug complex issues with design teams.
• Apply AI-assisted workflows and automation to improve productivity.
• Own subsystem verification and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Report progress and risks to the IC Verification Lead.
