SMT Africa in Brussels is seeking a Senior Group Reporting & Consolidation Specialist to own the group consolidation process and drive accurate monthly and annual financial reporting. You will partner with local finance teams across Africa to strengthen governance, data quality, and reporting across the group. This international role requires strong Excel, LucaNet/Navision/BC expertise and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 8–10 years in financial reporting, consolidation, or financial controlling.
• Fluent in French and English; experience in international multi-entity environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead monthly and annual consolidation activities for the group.
• Consolidate the financial statements of 20+ entities into Belgian GAAP standards.
• Validate data, manage intercompany reconciliations, and support audits.
• Maintain data governance and reporting procedures across systems.

In order to strengthen our Finance department with additional expertise, we are currently looking for a "Senior Group Reporting & Consolidation Specialist" for our office in Brussels.

Responsibilities

As Senior Group Reporting & Consolidation Specialist, you will take ownership of the Group consolidation process and support the production of accurate monthly and annual financial reporting.

You will act as a key business partner for local finance teams across Africa while helping strengthen reporting processes, financial governance, and data quality across the Group.

Financial Consolidation & Reporting

• Lead monthly and annual consolidation activities ;
• Consolidate the financial statements of more than 20 legal entities into Belgian GAAP standards ;
• Prepare and maintain consolidation schedules and supporting documentation ;
• Analyze consolidated financial performance, balance sheet movements, and cash flow variations ;

Financial Data Quality & Reconciliation

• Perform validation checks on financial data before consolidation ;
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and elimination processes ;
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with local finance teams ;

Audit & Financial Controls

• Support internal and external audit activities ;
• Prepare requested documentation and financial information ;

Master Data Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and reporting standards ;
• Maintain Chart of Accounts mappings and reporting structures ;
• Manage finance master data across related systems ;
• Support finance users on reporting tools and financial systems ;
• Maintain reporting procedures and documentation.

Profile

• Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ;
• 8 to 10 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, accounting, or financial controlling ;
• Fluent French and English are required ;
• Proven experience working in an international and multi-entity environment ;
• Experience with ERP and consolidation tools is highly desirable ;
• Advanced Excel skills ;
• Experience with LucaNet, Microsoft Navision, and/or Business Central is a strong advantage ;
• Solid analytical and financial modelling capabilities ;
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills ;
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cultures and countries.
