Mediahuis is seeking a Freelance Golang Developer to design, develop and maintain backend services and microservices in Go within an event-driven platform. You will work on the AI solutions platform, ensuring reliability, security and scalability across Mediahuis.

You’ll collaborate with platform engineers, architects and product owners in an international, hybrid setup with at least one day per week in Antwerp or Amsterdam offices.

Qualifications

• At least five years of software development experience.
• Strong focus on Go (Golang) and backend API design.
• Experience with distributed, event-driven architectures and NATS.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform and Azure.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and microservices in Go.
• Build and improve services powering the AI Platform.
• Work in an event-driven architecture with NATS as a messaging component.
• Translate requirements into scalable solutions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, architects and product owners.
