Darwin Space in Belgium is seeking a Senior GNC Engineer to lead the technical direction of a new actuator development programme, from concept through delivery, collaborating with a dedicated project manager.

You will be the main technical contact for customers, help build out a growing engineering team, and play a leadership role in shaping future projects within this new business area with a proactive, autonomous approach.

Qualifications

• Strong systems engineering experience in AOCS or GNC.
• Experience with actuator hardware such as reaction wheels or CMGs.
• 3+ years of relevant experience; seniority flexible.
• Ability to work autonomously and interact with customers.

Darwin Space are currently hiring for a Senior GNC Engineer for a company in Belgium.

The role:

• Own the technical direction of a new actuator development programme, from concept through to delivery, working alongside a dedicated project manager who leads on delivery and schedule
• Act as the main technical point of contact for customers, including presenting project progress where required
• Help build out a new engineering team as the business line grows
• Play a leading role in shaping future projects within this new business area as it expands

What they are looking for:

• Solid systems engineering experience within AOCS or GNC, ideally including full development-cycle experience on actuator hardware such as reaction wheels, CMGs or similar
• Background in attitude control product development is strongly preferred over general satellite bus, platform or electronics experience
• Roughly 3+ years' relevant experience upwards - seniority is flexible and will be matched to the strength of your actuator/AOCS background rather than years alone
• Comfortable operating with a good degree of autonomy on a brand-new programme, and confident building relationships directly with customers
