Job summary

EngiFlex BV in Belgium is seeking an experienced data functional analyst to join a multidisciplinary agile data team. You will translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, and define conceptual and logical data models in partnership with data architects.

The role requires strong SQL, data warehouse modelling (Kimball), and hands-on experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI, and Azure Databricks.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in data functional analysis.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse modelling (Kimball).
• Strong data modelling and data flows design skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft on-premise stack: SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI.
• Excellent written and spoken communication in French and Dutch (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Capture data-related needs by facilitating discussions with business experts.
• Map, analyze and understand business processes and data flows.
• Translate business requirements into functional data specs.
• Design and validate conceptual and logical data models with data architects.
• Prepare functional design with governance and ICT teams.
• Ensure GDPR and security compliance with DPO.
• Support and coordinate testing of data products.
• Inform and guide business users and drive adoption.
