Job summary

ING Belgium is seeking a technically polyglot Senior Full-Stack Developer to join the Customer Data team in Brussels. You’ll design solutions for complex business needs using Java 21, Spring Boot, Kafka and Angular, contributing to both backend and frontend development.

You will work on reliable, scalable systems handling critical customer data, focusing on risk management, resilience, and performance. Collaboration across departments and observability practices are key.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or IT.
• Certifications and/or proven proficiency in software development.
• 8+ years of experience in Agile IT projects.
• Strong expertise in Java 21, Spring Boot, Kafka, Maven.
• Knowledge applying CQRS pattern is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Monitoring tools Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python) and willingness to learn new ones.
• Awareness of Security & IT Risk and Resilience patterns.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
