Astek is seeking a Data Engineer – AI & LLM to join its Belgium Data & AI Community. You will design, build, and optimize data platforms to support AI-driven projects for diverse clients.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and business stakeholders across cloud environments, focusing on scalable pipelines and MLOps practices. English required; Dutch or French for Belgium projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong interest in AI and Large Language Models.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data processing solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Prepare, transform, and structure data to support AI and ML use cases.
• Work on LLM-based solutions, including embeddings and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Integrate data from multiple sources and optimize processing solutions using cloud tech.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Contribute to best practices in Data Engineering, AI, and MLOps.

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer – AI & LLM to join Astek and become part of our Data & AI Community. You will work on innovative data and artificial intelligence projects for our clients, helping them build scalable data platforms and develop solutions based on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI technologies. You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines, ensuring that high-quality and reliable data is available to support AI-driven solutions. Within the Data & AI Community, you will collaborate with technical experts, share knowledge, and contribute to the growth of our AI capabilities.

Your challenges will be:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Prepare, transform, and structure data to support AI and Machine Learning use cases.
• Work on LLM-based solutions, including data preparation, embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Integrate and manage data from multiple sources.
• Develop and optimize data processing solutions using cloud-based technologies.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Software Developers, and business stakeholders.Ensure data quality, security, and reliability across projects.
• Contribute to the implementation of best practices in Data Engineering, AI, and MLOps.

Profile

Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong interest in AI and Large Language Models.

Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.

Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data processing solutions.

Knowledge of cloud environments such as:
