Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd in Belgium seeks an experienced FPGA Engineer to join a hardware team delivering high-performance electronic systems for industrial vision applications. You will design, implement and validate FPGA solutions for high-speed data processing, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure robust, high-quality products.

You will work with VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, use Vivado or Quartus, and develop scripts in Python or Tcl.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering.
• At least 5 years of FPGA design in high-speed or data-intensive systems.
• Proficient in VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience with FPGA simulation, synthesis, timing closure and hardware validation.
• Knowledge of DDR, PCIe, Ethernet or video processing.
• Familiar with Vivado or Quartus toolchains.
• Strong scripting experience (Python/Tcl).
• Proficient English; French is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise FPGA architectures for high-speed data processing.
• Verify digital logic using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Perform simulation, synthesis, timing closure and on-hardware validation.
• Work with high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, video).
• Use FPGA tools such as Vivado or Quartus.
• Develop scripts and automation tools (Python/Tcl/shell).
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams for system integration.
• Troubleshoot issues and contribute to product improvement.
