SGI is seeking a Freelance Senior Business Controller to support an international organisation on a 6-month contract from Belgium. You will partner with leaders to drive financial insight, manage budgets and forecasts, and oversee CAPEX and project-related reporting.

The role requires extensive business-controllership experience, strong commercial acumen, and fluency in Dutch. Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred for this freelance assignment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a Business Controller or Finance Business Partner role.
• Experience in large, international or multi-entity organisations.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to translate data into business recommendations.
• Experience supporting projects, investments or project-based financial reporting.
• Proactive, organized and capable of working autonomously while building relationships across the business.

Responsabilités

• Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic decisions.
• Analyse performance through reporting on actuals, budgets and forecasts, identifying trends and opportunities.
• Produce KPI reporting and financial performance analysis across multiple units.
• Own investment tracking, CAPEX reporting and project-related financial oversight.
• Support planning cycles, including budgeting, forecasting and reviews.
• Strengthen financial governance, reporting quality and internal controls.
• Provide hands-on support to the finance team for day-to-day controlling activities.
• Contribute to finance improvement initiatives and business projects.
