Corilus in Belgium is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager who will operate at the product-suite level and be accountable for the people, delivery, and technical execution across several engineering teams. You will translate company strategy into executable engineering plans, ensure high-quality software delivery at scale, and grow strong engineering leadership.

About The Role

Senior Engineering Manager you operate at product-suite level and are accountable for the people, delivery, and technical execution of multiple engineering teams, including Tech Leads/Staff engineers and/or Engineering Managers. You translate company and product strategy into executable engineering plans, ensure high-quality and reliable software delivery at scale, and grow strong engineering leadership. Acting as the primary engineering partner to Product Management, Quality, and other senior stakeholders, you balance short-term delivery needs with long-term system health and sustainability.

Challenge

• Leading and aligning multiple engineering teams while ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery
• Developing and coaching Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to build a strong leadership pipeline
• Balancing delivery pressure with long-term architectural, technical, and operational excellence
• Managing risks, dependencies, and escalations across a complex product landscape
• Making clear trade-offs between scope, speed, quality, and technical sustainability
• Communicating clearly with senior stakeholders during periods of change, growth, or incident response

Profile

• Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams through Engineering Managers and/or Tech Leads/Staff engineers
• Strong system-level and architectural understanding, with the ability to challenge and assess technical decisions
• Solid technical background enabling effective collaboration with senior engineers
• Demonstrated experience in people leadership, coaching, performance management, and talent development
• Strong understanding of agile delivery and execution at multi-team scale
• Comfortable using metrics to guide delivery, quality, and operational decisions
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate business goals and priorities into clear engineering and product needs
• Able to thrive in a changing environment, navigate ambiguity, and adapt as priorities evolve
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical and delivery topics into clear business impact
• Fluent in English as the main working language; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus
