Melexis is seeking a Senior Application Engineer in Belgium to build deep technical expertise on Melexis products, and develop production-grade embedded software for motor control to enable customers to use them effectively.

You will be the key technical contact at customer sites, coach engineers, author application notes, and collaborate with System Architects to define innovative solutions, with travel about 20% expected.

Qualifications

Engineering master's degree in electronics or microelectronics.
7+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry and embedded SW development.
Strong experience in supporting customers.
Expert knowledge of low level or bare-metal embedded systems.
Expert knowledge of programming languages like C and Python.
Good understanding of control theory and IC design at a block level.
Willingness to travel frequently (20%).

Responsabilités

Be a key technical contact for customers and solve technical problems at the customer site.
Technically coach fellow engineers
Develop production-level embedded SW for advanced motor control and embedded systems
Acquire system knowledge and join the System Architect in the architecture definition specification and validation of innovative hardware and software solutions.
Propose novel system solutions that solve customer needs
Follow market trends and customers' needs.
Author application notes and system documentation.
