Job summary

Twenty8 is seeking an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer / Back-End Developer with release management expertise to support a prestigious European Institution in Brussels. The role focuses on coordinating releases, building CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, and securing deployments across AWS/Azure environments.

You will work in a hybrid setup, administering Linux systems, scripting with Bash, and managing containers with Docker and Podman while integrating IaC and security practices into delivery

Qualifications

• Proven experience in DevSecOps and back-end development.
• Strong expertise in release management, CI/CD and security-conscious delivery.
• Hands-on with Linux systems, scripting and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate software releases and deployments across multiple environments.
• Develop, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Administer Linux environments and automate operational tasks with Bash scripting.
• Manage containerised applications using Docker and Podman.
• Support cloud deployments and infrastructure automation with a focus on security.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance and troubleshoot with DevOps teams.
• Apply best practices in security within delivery workflows.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer / Back-End Developer with experience in Release Management to support a prestigious European Institution in Brussels.

• Coordinate software releases and deployments, ensuring reliable and secure delivery across environments.
• Develop, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Administer Linux environments and automate operational tasks using Bash scripting.
• Manage containerised applications using Docker or Podman.
• Support cloud deployments and infrastructure automation, integrating security practices into delivery workflows.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues and collaborate with development and operations teams.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux administration;
• Excellent knowledge of GitLab CI/CD;
• Excellent knowledge of Git and GitLab;
• Excellent knowledge of release and deployment management;
• Excellent knowledge of Bash scripting;
• Excellent knowledge of Docker and/or Podman;
• Good knowledge of AWS and/or Azure, with experience in at least one cloud platform;
• Good knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code;
• Good knowledge of cloud IAM, networking and security;
• Good knowledge of Dynatrace and/or Splunk;
• Good knowledge of Maven and Nexus;
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm;
• Knowledge of AWS CodePipeline and/or Azure DevOps;
• Knowledge of multi-cloud deployment strategies;
• Knowledge of advanced cloud architecture;
• Knowledge of Cycloid and ServiceNow.
