WLG in Mons, Belgium, is seeking a senior systems engineer to design deployable communication and information systems, automate them, and lead when incidents occur. You will contribute to project delivery, work in a DevOps team, and train colleagues on implementations and troubleshooting.

The role requires 5+ years in large environments, expertise in AD, storage, and virtualization, plus Windows and Linux administration and strong scripting in PowerShell/Bash.

Formación

• At least 5 years supporting deployable or large enterprise environments.
• Centralised storage (FC, iSCSI, SAS) or hyperconverged tech such as vSAN, plus VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Recent Windows Server and Red Hat Linux, high availability and patching.
• Expert Active Directory across federated domains and forests, DNS, server hardening and Group Policy.
• Remote Desktop or similar application provisioning.
• At least 3 years in a DevOps team with Bash or PowerShell and automation tools, solid TCP/IP and ITIL Service Transition.

Responsabilidades

• Contributing to the design, build and delivery of deployable systems engineering projects.
• Working in a DevOps team: continuous integration, change management, automated deployment and monitoring.
• Acting as the senior engineer and final problem solver for incidents, requests, and problem management.
• Supporting the technical planning and running of exercises, on-site or remotely.
• Documenting designs, implementations and troubleshooting guides, and training colleagues on the job.
• Leading technical support teams on projects and exercises, and standing in for senior staff when needed.
